PeaceTrees Vietnam is a Seattle-based humanitarian organization working in central Vietnam to assist those whose lives and livelihoods are threatened by the explosive remnants of war. In the years since the fall of Saigon, over 40,000 Vietnamese have been killed or injured by landmines and unexploded ordnance (explosives) left behind from that conflict.

Today, more than 40 years after the war, nearly 85 percent of land in Quang Tri province is still designated as potentially unsafe, riddled with remnants of war which can be fatal to innocent Vietnamese people. PeaceTrees Vietnam is dedicated to the healing of communities impacted by the consequences of war by removing landmine and other unexploded ordnance (UXO), mine risk education, survivor assistance, economic development and citizen diplomacy. To date PeaceTrees Vietnam, has removed over 85,900 ordnance items and planted over 43,400 trees.
